GOOD NEWS THOUGH!!!

Looks as though the keeper problem has been solved.. All keepers got positive points this round including a keeper who got sent off (ooohhh the mystery

)

One player is also looking like the Kevin Muscat of the League, Love's seeing RED!!!

Northern Power vs Western Dynamo
at the Robbham Arena

In the opening game of the Second Round, Northern Power hosted the Dynamo with a hope to avenge their opening day loss..

The Power dominated the opening but it was the Dynamo who got on the board first with a dubious penalty to Striker David Kennett..

Powers problems were compounded when Travis Demeza was shown a 2nd yellow..

Power changed tactic in an attempt to get back the goal, however it didnt work as the Dynamo were again on the fortunate end of a dubious decision. This time a free kick which was hit by Roberts and Kennett met it with a precision header to score his 2nd..

Things got worse for the Power on the stroke of half time when Mika Vayrynen slotted one past keeper Blake Donald to send them down 3 nil at the break..

Any hope of a repeat from the Swell game though was not on the agenda for the Power as they were unable to make any inroads with a man down..

Dynamo however evened the stakes when Mika Vayrynen produced an ugly foul and was red carded. Vayrynen had to be dragged away by his team mates as he furiously protested with Referee Massimo De Santis..

The game never reached any great heights after that with both teams looking very flat..

East Coast Fury vs Central United
at the Cricketweb Stadium

Central Travelled to the East to meet the fury in a match that could well see the Fury into the Final..

Fury's plans were in tatters after 17 minutes when Defender Hitsoshi Okada was carried off the pitch creating havoc with the formation..

The game was close until the 45th minute when Stephen Burke was Red Carded in his 1st game back from Suspension after Head-Butting Furys Nathan Hoy..

Amazingly though it sparked United and when Fury Keeper Ryan Dunn cut down Matt Currie and was red carded, and the subsequent penalty slotted away United were up 1-0 at the break..

After the break Both teams had chances but neither could crack one, until the 75th Minute when Sriram made all the work himself and slotted home the winner for United..

A good win for United, but both teams have some issues that need sorting before the season gets underway...
