Which team was the greatest

You could possibly say that for most Test sides nowadays who carry primarily 3 specialist quicks and a specialist spinner. That make-up isn't really relevant at all. It's almost like saying, since the WIndies faced teams with 11 players, and the Australian team of the 90s had 11 players, they'll know what to face. I mean...come on. You might as well have said that Australia had a much better bowling attack than Pakistan, who actually gave the WIndies a lot of headaches. But nevermind, if you're saying the opposite of what I thought you said then I have gone off on a tangent.

Sarfraz is sort of a hero amongst Pakistanis but his rank amongst fast bowlers is really not that high at all. Neither at home nor away was he consistently superlative. In saying that, his swing was infamous and was one of the main bowlers for Pakistan in that period. Still, IMO, Kasper has quite superior figures compared to Sarfraz yet he was the team's 4th best bowler and fighting for scraps.
Could u please state ur point so i can move on. If its that Oz > Pakistan of the 80s I already said that. If its that Oz would give the WI of Lloyd more trouble than Pakistan, I said that from the get go. What are u arguing about. Seriously??

Oh and btw very few teams of the 80s or even now had 3 quality bowlers like Pakistan did in the 80s.

Kasper was slightly better, but pretty much in the same class as Sarfraz. If guys like Kasper and Bichel could make it into the Aussie team, so can Sarfraz as a fourth seamer.
Kasper has pretty much the same average as Sarfraz, but a much better SR - which is impressive in itself, considering he had few wickets to truly aim for. And, really, Kasper himself couldn't cement a spot consistently in the Aussie line-up. Neither could Bichel. Such was that fourth spot that the best of the "others" (Kasper, Bichel, Lee, Fleming, etc) were used when they were most in form. So, I really do think it's fair to say that it's unlikely Sarfraz would have gotten into the side.

As I said in my previous post, I misunderstood your point and went on a tangent. I thought you were saying that because the Pakistani attack was similar to the Aussies that the WIndies would deal with them comfortably. But really, you were making a point that said quite the opposite. So I agree with that.
