Highest score
Most runs
Most 100s

Fastest to 500 runs, Fastest to take 50 catches.. Etc are 😴
Kohli’s nearly broken the most 100s, in nearly only 60% of the innings. ODIs were played with a lot more frequency when’s Sachin was playing. So the age part doesn’t make sense

Oh.. Sachin scored record number of centuries at the age of 25, because he was playing lot more matches than current players. What about Sachin's contemporaries?
Sachin 25 centuries when he was 26 yrs old
Lara was 2nd best.. Just 9 centuries 😴

Dude, see the age by which you break records doesn’t really matter much. Btw Tendy had 24 100s by 26(1999), and had played 230 matches by then. Kohli’s played 280 till date. Sachin started playing cricket by 16, and peaking by 25. Kohli literally started playing by 21. Can’t compare their records by age like that.

Also another factual error. Lara had 13 hundreds by the time Sachin was 25(1998), and had played 133 innings compared to SRT’s 207. In 1999(when Sachin turned 26), Sachin really overtook him, but even by then Lara had played 70 less matches than Sachin, and has 14 100s, compared to Sachin’s 24.

Wouldn't mind betting Viv Richards would have done a bit better than top edging a pull shot for a caught and bowled in the first over of that run chase, but we'll never know. Same with Kohli.

What we do know is the guy being extolled as the best ODI player of all time limply surrendered on the biggest stage not once but twice.
Wasn't Richards the one who fumbled while chasing 183 against a weak bowling attack?? Or didn't Kohli threw his wicket in the Champion's Trophy final against Pakistan?

And the same guy who scored a hundred in a final(something which Sachin never managed).
No Sachin didn't. But neither did Kohli...... Nor to mention Viv's wicket cost West Indies the match and he really had no reason to go so heavy in attack. In '03 India basically lost the game in the 1st innings and they indeed won in '11.

I know that, but if you are saying Kohli's WC final performance is a proof for Kohli's superiority over sachin , expect these type of replies.

At the age 26
Sachin 25 centuries
Lara 9 centuries.

Lara's century tally was 2nd best, there must be many others with more matches and less centuries.

For me, it is, along with the feat of dominating a WC, which he has done until now. It’s rare for non-openers to be close to the very top of the run scorers in WCs. Kohli’s superiority is not evidenced by his SR so much, but his hundred conversion rate and his chasing legacy, areas in which he is far far ahead of Sachin.
