Picked mr mr for 3rd even though it could have been several people, after having then seen him slag off Freddie I rather wish I hadn't

My (brutal) analysis of each team:

KingKallis
Brilliant opening partnership for this draft, decent #3 and ATG #4. Problem is that nobody after #5 knows how to bat, and numbers 8 through 11 are reminiscent of Giddins-at-9 England in the 90s. Not going to get full value out of the bowlers, but beneficially there is depth for when Bond inevitably breaks down mid-match. Wouldn't want to chase much against this team in the fourth innings, but they won't actually score any runs so...

Very good attack. Imran + Pollock + Garner is an awesome combination, with great support from Gibbs and the all-round option of Grace. Plus Bevan is a criminally underrated bowler. Shame the batting doesn't quite stack up; two entirely unproven Test batsmen in the top three (and Love never batted there in Test cricket) and Bevan means that the strength of the Weekes/Waugh middle order is undermined somewhat.

I haven't heard of any of these ****s, which means they mustn't be any good. Who was that Lillee bloke anyway? In all seriousness though, Hadlee and Lillee opening with Johnson's shock tactics behind them is a solid attack, and Marriott was obviously very good (albeit with no Test longevity). The batting line-up really has nothing standing out aside from Tendulkar, and I'm not sure about making Wilfred Rhodes a #6. And I have no idea if Saba Karim was actually any good or if he's a h4x stats Indian domestic guy.

Good bowling attack, but the batting line-up is very short -- especially when Fishlock, a domestic giant who did very little internationally and has career stats that suggest he wasn't particularly unlucky to suffer that fate, and McCool are the middle order. I expect Jardine would get a hell of a lot out of the Trueman/Turner/Foster/Warne attack...if he could keep Trueman and Warne under control.

silfer
I think Allan Rae is a solid pick for this draft, as is a top order of Bland and Martyn. I'm unconvinced by Bland actually being any good as a batsman though, but with him on top of Jonty, damn the fielding will be immense in this team. Honestly, I don't think Tiger Lance was a Test-class player, let alone for ATG/draft scenarios, but I guess the team needed those 5 overs of seam per day. Bishop/Holding/Donald/O'Reilly is an awesome attack, but I don't think the batting is putting enough runs on the board.

anil
Andre Russell has no place being anywhere near a Test team. End of. This is the kind of team where you can tell the drafter has spent all his money to get in the big names early and gone "oh ****, I have no budget, who else exists?" and had to go a bit too deep into the bargain basement. The big names may be enough, but I'll lean towards a better rounded team pls and ty. Really nice attack in Lindwall/Steyn/Croft/Gupte though.

When you contrive to play Shakib at 4 as a specialist batsman, there's something wrong. You're not using all of that bowling power because there's only so many overs to be bowled, and no way can you use so many options when settling into spells is actually a thing. Davidson, Miller and Katich are all awesome picks IMO, as is Tyson, but this team is remarkably unbalanced. You might be able to get away with it if your top four was full of ATG batsmen, but not when its Aakash Chopra.

Red Hill
I like this team up until realising it has 4 genuine #11s and a Blackham in front of it. Five out, all out is an issue. I mean, McGrath has a genuine claim on #9 in this team.

Yeah MrMister Talk Nah

RTB
Best team by some distance. Flawless.

TBP
Chappell and Sobers is a brilliant middle order, arguably the best in this draft, but there just really isn't much around that. Ambrose-Ferris-Walsh is a solid seam attack, but it pales in comparison to some of the others put together. The opening pairing really isn't inspiring, though it's solid-ish. The Nawab at #3 isn't bad, but there's not much Test record to judge on. And Close, while gutsy, is limited in this scenario. I read this team and come out thinking 'meh'.

Mister Mr
Middle of the road bowling attack in this contest -- very good, but not exceptional compared to Anil or silfer -- and a batting line-up that is solid but feels a touch short. Cameron and Constantine are both Test #7s in ability, which would probably suffice for this draft usually, but not quite with Arjuna above them. One more genuine quality batsman, or a genuine ATG bowler, and this team is right up there. Now? Close but no cigar.

Barry Richards. Muttiah Muralitharan. Clarrie Grimmett. Shaun Pollock. Virat Kohli. Andy Roberts. You wonder how someone get get so many great players into this XI (albeit, in this case, they're mostly bowlers). Then you realise it's because the team also has Mitchell Marsh, Chetan Chauhan and Kusal Mendis. Pretty good effort but, like anil, it seems like you've gone for ATGs and utterly mediocre cricketers to come out with a better-than-average skill balance. There's merit to it, but I like teams without passengers.
