Y no Afghanistan flag
I remember thinking that BFP was gone from the race at the start when he picked up Matthew Bell and someone else mediocre at the start but he has done an excellent recovery, so much so that I think he has the best XI. Coronis has a bit of an unbalanced team but would definitely skittle his opposition regularly with the 3 brilliant quicks, so if I could have voted for more than one he'd be one of my picks too.

I think it's fair to give me the Bradman treatment in this, we all know mine is the best so just vote for the second best

What exactly was the premise here as I'm struggling to comprehend how Derek Pringle has found his way into a team.

I'm going for either uvo or Garson, but I have no idea what the method for drafting was.

uvelocity

International Coach
A draft where the player pool for each round is randomly selected, from all the thousands of Test cricketers.

On top of that, you won't know who the players are. You'll know their country, role (batsman, bowler, allrounder or wicketkeeper) and their year of debut. At the end of each round I'll say who has been drafted onto each team.

GF's attack is interesting. Grimmett and Qadir operating on a turning wicket would be lethal , especially with the brilliant Cameron behind the stumps . McDonald, Bowes, and Constantine were no slouches either. It's a shame that he couldn't land a class opening batsman.

Quite like KKs team as well. Very well balanced side with good batsman and a million bowling options. Just lacks a stand-out fast bowler.

5-6 good sides to pick from is making casting a single vote difficult.

I would have gone for Coronis if he had had anybody but You-Know-Who as wicket-keeper :)

Firstly this was an excellent idea and I've really enjoyed playing so many thanks to Jake for putting in the effort to devise and run it

And now I see that my team is not as bad as I thought, and I'd fancy it against most, but definitely not Furball's, so he gets my vote

Furball was really well-placed, but for the last few rounds he dropped out and had Nazir and McDonald picked for him by the RNG. If he'd held on long enough just to pick another batsman he'd have a fantastic team.

I agree that BFP put together a really nice team after a poor start so he gets my vote. I like Spikey's too, mainly because he ended up with 11 good Test players who'd not normally get picked (except p'raps Lloyd), which was very much in the spirit of things.

I know my team was pretty dire, but to not include it in the OP is a bit much.

I'd demand a re-vote if I thought I had any chance of getting even one vote!

What I reckon about each side:

* Marcuss - OK. A few good players.
* morgieb - couple of guns, no real shunts but not many people who are much good. Got unlucky with player selection slightly.
* Coronis - lacks a real 4th bowler, and has a couple of mediocre players, but dat pace attack.
* BFP - really good side, few weaknesses. Best of the bunch I think.
* KK - arguably the best batting of the bunch, but lacks a real good quick. Good side though.
* Monk - gun top 3, not a lot else though.
* Spikey - no stars but no mediocre players. Good side.
* GIMH - terrible lower-middle order. No stars, and few players who are better than 'pretty good'. Weak.
* fredfertang - decent but does have a few weak links. It probably would've been better with luck.
* uvelocity - sick Top 4, and no real 'weak links', but could do with a better bowler. One of the better ones though.
* honestbharani - pretty good bowling attack, and the opening partnership will score runs, but the middle order is concerning.
* Garson007 - decent, and has some class players, but the balance is questionable.
* GingerFurball - it would be the best IMO if he got an opener, but a poor finish made the team look really imbalanced.
* Cabinet96 - woeful, quite frankly. I'm assuming he dropped out early?
