That's just 5, and all of them can be relied on to score runs and also bowl 10 overs.

Watson at the moment cannot by any stretch of the imagination, and his domestic one day performances don't suggest he'd be relied on to do it for a long time.

For sure. Watson is a good bowler. He's a 10 over bowler.

So how come his captains have only ever given him an average of 5 overs or so a game throughout his one day career?

If he were a 10 over bowler, you'd expect that figure to be much nearer the 7 or 8 level.

Perhaps it's because he doesn't actually take that many wickets or bowl that economically?

I note that despite the average he's only been called on to bowl an average of 13 or 14 overs in a match - that is fill in status, not main bowling status.

On the Harvey/Watson issue. I think that it's possible that Watson will eventually replace Harvey, mainly because Harvey just isn't cutting it as an all-rounder.

I don't see how - Harvey is a specialist bowler who can swing the bat to good effect on occasion.

If you replace him with Watson, Watson will be batting down at 8!

Right now, Michael Clarke is batting at number 7, as does Adam Gilchrist in tests. What's your point? While acknowledging that Harvey's a better bowler than a lot of posters are giving him credit for, I do believe that Watson presents more all-round promise. So did the Australian selectors before Watson was injured and Harvey replaced him in the World Cup tour party.

My prediction for today - India will lose to Zimbabwe. It has no relaion to Dravid getting out right now as I have felt the hunch right from the beginning of the match.

Predictions need not come true and I wouldnt even want this one to come true as I want India to win but I do think Zimbabwe will win this one.
