Your forgetting his 40* against Pakistan...
I was only talking about this series.

Actually, him and Gibbs would be an interesting pairing. They'd either put on 200 or 2!

 Why did nobody consider Ntini? Surely he must be given some thought, seeing as he has been in better form than Pollock for some time now. (Matchwinning performance against Zimbabwe)
Ntini may have got better results, but there is no way you can say he's been in better form. Pollock has been head and shoulders above anyone - absolutely on fire.

Good point marc, but if Ntini is getting the results, surely thats what counts? (even with luck)

After yesterday, how about this:

Trescothick
Solanki
Vaughan
Kallis
Flintoff
Rudolph
Read
Giles
Johnson
Anderson
Gough

No? :D

Eddie - everyone makes so much of this white ball, but surely every teams bowlers had the same advantage, so why does it matter? Do they use the same white balls everywhere for al ODIs, because most of them are geared up to be runfests.

I'm not saying that the white Kook has been to the detriment of the tournament, nor am I suggesting that it's the reason for England's later dominance.

Just that it's a primary reason for 30-4 being a fairly common start. It seems a little overly-helpful at the start and is a prime reason why seamers have to a certain extent dominated the tournament.

Saying that, Solanki, Flintoff, Kallis, Rudolph, Flower, Vaughan... (insert your batsman here) have played one or two good knocks.
