Comparing Test Teams

2. The series was a 1-1 draw if not for rain rescuing India in the first test
This is a problem with that 'what-if'. Because India, who dominated the 3rd test, would have pushed for a win instead of a draw. I doubt Rahul Dravid, as captain of the team, would have blocked for hours on end in India's 2nd innings if the series was tied at 1-1.

Not to mention the fact that the same rain that curtailed the match also caused the conditions to become conducive to swing. The conditions were very batting friendly before the weather changed.

Not Terrible
NZ's attack might be worth something with Franklin + Southee + Mills + Worker Bee in form O'Brien, Martin + Oram and Vettori. No bowling stock seams ;) terribly impressive at the moment. Sri Lanka with Mendis and Murali is a scary thought, Malinga too. India are probably one of the more solid attacks anywhere in the world, need a bit more out of them before I'd declare them tops. SA and Aus are always up there too.
