The way Kenya fought back & the way Canada recovered in the first innings of the first odi made me start this thread... Lets discuss on which is the best team & predict the winner of the 2nd ODI... Kandappah is 36 (tho' he did pretty well), Iqbal 33 ... it's always going to be the way for a team which depends on migrants though. Don't suppose cricket is played in many schools. Looks like it was a good match anyway, Odoyo is certainly taking a liking to Canada's bowlers. |

Canada 77-3 after 22 overs; their side is now comprised entirely of players of Asian origin (apart from Osinde, which sounds like an African name). Don't white guys play the game there? Perhaps not. And there's a 28 year old umpire standing, so it's not just policemen who are getting younger it seems.

Actually Osinde picked up cricket In Makerere University in Uganda before moving to Canada
This idea of throwing in a 'pinchhitter' if a wicket falls early, something which Kenya seems to specialise in no matter the format of the game, is really starting to grind my gears.Kenya slip to 37/2 Ouma an Odhiambo the men out, Obanda and David Obuya at the crease. |

Trevin Bastiampillai 21, Abdul Jabbar 24, Durand Soraine 24, Jason Patraj 26. Im pretty sure all four players have come through the junior ranks for Canada. Its only two really old guys who have made their debut and both have been playing domestic cricket in Canada for quite a few years.
It looks like Canada really struggle to get any of their overseas cricketers back. Pretty all of the semi professional cricketers are missing this game.
