My team using the same formula..

    1 V Merchant
    2 V Trumper
    3 V Richards
    4 R Subba Row
    5 F Worrell
    6 B Lara
    7 L Ames
    8 B Statham
    9 M Marshall
    10 H Larwood
    11 A Donald

I was going to go Lindwall and then Laker but didn't want to pick anyone the same.

That's my attempt. Looks pretty weird though.
Complete cheat on the order of the bowlers.

Haha well if I'm not allowed to bat Hadlee at 11 I can end with Ironmonger and Roberts at 10 and 11 instead.

Gave it a decent effort. Batting order isn't perfect and Sobers will have to do the main spinner role.

    1. Gavaskar
    2. Richards (Barry)
    3. Slater
    4. Richards (Viv)
    5. Sobers
    6. Stewart +
    7. Tendulkar
    8. Roberts
    9. Steyn
    10. Ntini
    11. Illingworth

    J Hobbs
    S Gavaskar
    R Ponting
    G Pollock
    K Wessels
    S Waugh
    H Strudwick
    K Farnes
    S Warne
    E Gilbert
    T Richardson

    Last letter -> initial.
Wasn't sure who to follow Pollock with. Thought Headley had even less options.

Last letter same as first in next player's surname...

    Sehwag (Virender)
    Gooch (Graham)
    Hammond (Wally)
    Darling (Joe)
    Gower (David)
    Richards (Viv)
    Sobers (Garfield)
    Small (Gladstone)
    Lindwall (Ray)
    Lillee (Dennis)
    Evans (Godfrey)

Small batting out of position, but probably only by one place. Evans should be a bit higher in the order.

I think this is pretty good:

    Hobbs
    Sehwag
    Gavaskar
    Richards
    Sobers
    Sangakkara +
    Amla
    Akram
    McGrath
    Holding
    Grimmett

    I had a choice between:

    A) Marshall-Lillee-Evans B) Marshall-Lindwall-Laker C) McGrath-Holding-Grimmett and D) McGrath-Hadlee-Evans. Who would you chose?

Excellent Team. Did you, by any chance, work backward by putting Warne in there first?

Nah started top to bottom but wanted Warne in my team for sure ... started the bowling line-up with Akram like you but switched to Akthar to make sure Warne is in...
