Good win by Pakistan but as everyone said with the likes of Bollinger leading the line it was to excepted…

Also any reason for why Hasan Raza isn’t in the Pak side? Surprised to see his non involvement for his the greatest A player around.

Ashfield eh? Good for you. :)

Big man is Dougie. Fast, can swing it and bowls a heavy ball. But damn inconsistent and rarely economical.

Agreed. Australia do have quite a lot of bowlers in and around the test and ODI squads who wouldn't have been considered though, so it's too much of a worry. Lee, Clark, Johnson, Bracken, Hilfenhaus, Tait, MacGill, Hogg and Gillespie would be in front of all those bowlers which is probably sufficient depth. Australia could do with a few younger guys coming through in the next 3 years or so though as, Tait and Hilfenhaus aside, those bowlers are all getting on a touch.
Yeah, I don't think there's a lack of bowling talent in Australia, that's just not a good attack they've chosen, particularly for one dayers. It's obviously a team chosen with an eye to the future rather than one based on current strength, and as you say it's also missing a number of possible candidates.

He's much better than Mitchell Johnson though. On his day, big Doug is absolutely lethal.
Johnson's a much, much better prospect than Bollinger. Bollinger's not a bad bowler, but he's nowhere near international class at the moment. Johnson's had success at international level, and he's younger and less experienced. It's no contest really.

Why were the Aussies wearing the green uniform, since it was an away game shouldn't they have been wearing the canary yellow uniform??

Do you guys think Aussies can bounce back in this odi series but with a bowling attack like one they have for this series i highly doubt it.
I have got to say that James Hopes has been really impressive and if Watson doesn't get rid of his injury woes soon then Hopes might be a good option to replace him.

What's the wraps about Bollinger anyhow?. He has a pretty awful domestic record and last season was the first season where he did well averaging 28, and he did medicroaly (to say the least) for Worcestershire. Should he be anywhere near an A squad.

Lee, Clark, Johnson, Bracken, Hifenhaus and Hogg are in South Africa. Tait injuried and MacGill retired from OD Cricket. So considering Gillespie just arrived in South Africa, thats basically a full strength A side.

I can't really think of too many bowlers outside guys that are away with national team infront of those guys. Basically thats the best Australia has outside the national team players. The real sad fact is that Harwood (33) and Noffke (30) are still considered at Australia A options. There not that many young seamers coming through that haven't been tired in the National Team.

There not much depth coming through Australian Cricket or good young players that are ready for FC cricket or A Cricket IMO.
