Battle of the Subcontinent
Lets do a battle of the subcontinent. I was thinking Battle of the Indians, but I think this will be more fun...get some nice rivalries going
.OK, first step is to nominate 64 people. When nominating someone, please put a link to their cricinfo page, so its easy for people to see their stats, and also post a link to a picture if you can find it. That way I can put it into excel and its easier during the course of the battle. The players must have played at least one test match from one of the following countries: India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan. No FC cricket lifers please. So far:

![]() PS. Not that this will be a problem, but we should get at least five people from each country (i.e Bangladesh). India/Pak have been playing cricket the longest, and Pak has probably had the most talent, so it doesn't have to be even, but each country should be represented. I had a short look for Aravinder De Silva (sp?) and couldn't find him for 2 reasons. A) I had no idea there were so many De Silva's that have played cricket either for Sri-Lanka or in SL 1st Class
B) See A |

Sorry wont go into giving cricinfo pages.
Some from India - Vijay Hazare Vijay Merchant Amar Singh G Vishwanath Kapil Dev Gavaskar Tendulkar Kumble Dravid Some from Pakistan - Hanif Md. Imran Khan Javed Miandad Wasim Akram Waqar Younis Inzamam Sri Lanka - Aravinda De Silva Vaas Murali Bangladesh - none. I don't think we should necessarily include any from Bangladesh if they don't deserve it. The best should be there and there are many players from India and Pakistan who would stake a claim before any Bangladeshis. |
