The Manjrekar/Tendulkar story

Well then he gave incorrect information about his fitness then, no ? And if Tendulkar wanted to play quickly then why did he not declared his fitness couple of weeks earlier and participated in the test series in WI ?

As for silencing his detractors by his performance..what if he does perform well but the shoulder doesn't heal well and he gets out of ICC KO trophy ? Is this stupid tournament in Lanka more important than ICC trophy or the next world cup ?

maybe so...maybe the team management was aware that he was not completely fit and still wanted him back....

he tried, didn't he? there was no way he could've played, that's why he didn't go to the windies, in this case, according to chappell, except for throwing from the deep, he seems to be ok in other aspects....

what if as they expect, he gets back to something approaching normal after a couple of matches? the point is he and the team are probably taking a calculated risk of getting him match-fit before the world cup....maybe they might know something about the condition of his body that you and i don't? in any case, the only thing to do is to wait and see what happens during this tournament....

Truly trust the Tendulkar fanatics to divert the attention of the thread when they are proved wrong. So once again - If he was not fully fit, why did he declare his fitness ?
If the only problem is with throwing from the outfield, why not? A number of players have played while being unable to throw long distance, especially when their need in their primary area of skill is much more than their outfielding.
