Never made any runs in domestic cricket. One fifty in 15 NCL innings says it all really.

imrul kayes is starting to make some runs again, had a great season last year but wasn't doing so well this season, he's got a chance of being in the squad against pakistan, also good to see raqibul hasan coming into some form. am very happy to see shamsur rahman score a big one, he's a good prospect for BD but has to work on his consistency.

wouldn't surprise me if rony talukder and/or mithun ali make the squad to play pakistan, at the same time imrul and nafis iqbal may also be selected or they might stick with mehrab and junaid, they've been palying musical chairs with their openers recently.

Jayasuriya in Dhaka now to play for Mohammedan

Dhaka, March 4 (bdnews24.com)– Sanath Jayasuriya arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday, a day after terrorists attacked the Sri Lankan team in Lahore, to play for Mohammedan Sporting Club in the Premier Division Cricket League.

The veteran Sri Lankan all-rounder will play his first match against Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan at the Narayanganj Osmani Stadium on Thursday.

Jayasuriya along with Arjuna Ranatunga had earlier played for Mohammedan after helping their country to clinch the 1996 ICC World Cup.

Mohammedan began their campaign with a tie against Young Pegasus and now have five points from six matches, seven points behind joint leaders Bangladesh Biman and holders Abahani.

Biman, however, have played a match less than Abahani's seven.

The left-hander, who has been out of the Sri Lankan Test squad since December 2007, was supposed to come here earlier but he was engaged in South African club cricket instead.

A club official said that it was still unclear whether Jayasuriya would play in the remaining league matches.

    Surjo Torun 201 (49.4) - Junaid Siddique 55, Hannan Sarkar 45; Mashrafe Mortaza 10-1-54-3

    CCS 212-9 (50) - Uttam Sarkar 90, Shuvagoto Hom 47; Iqbal Hossain 9-0-37-4
    Partex 215-4 (47.3) - Shafiul Alam 104 (130b, 10x4, 2x6), Mehrab Hossain Opee 54, Rashid Hanif 35

These games were both apparently played yesterday (7 March) and the scorecards are up on CA. However there is no mention of them in the Bangladeshi press, so I'm not entirely sure what's going on. Also the table on CA lists Surjo Torun as having two games abandoned, which doesn't appear the case.
