Eknath Solkar Passes away

Apart from his fielding, Solkar's other contribution was playing a key role in persuading Boycott to take his sabattical from test cricket in 1974 by regularly dismissing him cheaply, despite being something of an ocasional bowler.

Whatever it takes!!!
I hope God gives his family enough strength to tide over this. He will always be remembered as perhaps the finest fielder that India have produced and as a fighting player. Maybe a Robin Singh with a little bit more talent, I guess.
