No, because there were 16 games, and he was sekected for 12 of them.

Regardless of what you think of those 4 games, the selectors had to name a side for them, and the games took place.

Yes, they did - and the selectors, like everyone else, knew that whatever side they named for those 3 games they'd win them anyway.
So who was picked doesn't say anything about anything.
