No one really put there name up at that time, I never rated him as a keeper or a captain.

he wasn't actually a very good batsman at international level despite a couple of good scores as you mentioned one of them, a year or two ago he made a comeback to the first-class scene as a specialist batsman and was absolutely shocking in terms of run-scoring.
