Its true there is a lot of new stuff out there. Sports Psych has been a rehash of the same deal for the last 10 years, with few getting to the nuts and bolts of how to deal with the incoming ball or how to actually learn skills. PHDs out there in the business of the mind miss the difference between prep/post and execution skills. That mystical Zone they all talk about is the execution moment.

Unless you know the player - not just their personality - that zone is very hit and miss.

Yep, its what I do for a living and the players play with such freedom in whatever sport is theirs.
