I think a good technique is important to survive when a good bowler is bowling on a good track in order to survive and make some runs.

But due to the flat nature of tracks nowadays lots of batsmen seem to do well even without a decent technique.

    What, that they're both numbers?

Technique over talent without a doubt, just look at Afridi and you should have a clear idea why.

God no, not at all. You're an all-rounder, pup11 only ever posts on Australia and India.

Shot selection is more of an issue there than lack of technique.
Sreesanth said, "Next ball he was beaten and I said, 'is this the King Charles Lara? Who is this impostor, moving around nervously? I should have kept my mouth shut for the next ball - mind you, it was a length ball - Lara just pulled it over the church beyond the boundary! He is a true legend."

His technique is hardly first-rate, either, though...
