Ended up with an easy win:

Borderliners 153/10 (41)
Watkins 3-32 (10), Downer 3-32 (10), Whitehorne 2-5 (5)

Asterix XI 154/2 (31.1)
Ashton 73*, Watkins 44* (50), Cuss 31 (34)

Wasn't really expecting to win that and the ratings suggest they should've won as well, but I'll take it.

Code:
[B] Asterix XI Borderliners[/B]
Top Order: quality wonderful
Middle Order: quality strong
Lower Order: woeful mediocre
Seam Bowling: sensational exquisite
Spin Bowling: remarkable quality
Fielding: feeble mediocre
Ratings will hopefully improve when Ellis recovers PFL, seam rating in particular. I've been following a few fairly average superb primary players on the market and they invariably go for 3.5m+. There doesn't seem to be much money to be made in training them to quality, so I'll probably ditch that idea. Think I'll just go for another wonderful+ bat and a fifth bowler I can train a bit.

Easy cup and FC matches coming up so I can afford to rest most of my players, PFLs starting to bite already. Got a pretty easy league match as well next week, before NorCricket the week after, so should be able to get PFLs back to sublime by then.

0 ITS pull. I might start investing in my YA this season. That $80k interest is nice.

Why not just keep Beaumont and train the new guy? Would help increase your depth. I'm guessing Beaumont's on three nets atm, probably two bat and one keep. You could take away the keeping and one batting net and give them to Atkin and keep playing Beamont as your keeper while also training his batting to at least remarkable, while it would also mean his fitness wouldn't keep getting drained as he'd only have the one net. Then you could probably spare a net from somewhere else and give Atkin another batting net.

If Beaumont didn't have such crap stamina for a 19yo it'd be an easy decision. I'd still sell the YP tho, you should get over a million for them for someone who is potential only. Get Beaumont on a fitness net quick.

The emphasis should be on getting a good side first and then when you've got that you can train YPs like that.

Try to look at it not so much from week to week but over a month or a number of weeks, cause you generally alternate between away and home games. I've lost about 300-400k since the end of last season, but my next OD and FC games are both at home so I'm not really that worried. If you're making 80k from gate receipts as you did last week, you're more than fine IMO, as long as you don't waste anything.

Gaaaaaaaaah, would've been an awesome bowler. I knew that would happen as soon as i got a decent YP, put the ITS on the wrong primary :(

How much do you reckon i'd get for him?

Yea that's why I always split my ITS over the two primaries and stamina (11 bat & bowl, 8 stamina, 2/3 on each con - I just sold a guy who probably had worse starting skill than yours for 500k). You should get 100k for him, more depending on whether some novices like the bowling.

Was thinking about my YP situation while working, and my current net situation is -

Beaumont 19 (Superb-Superb Bat Strong Keeping) 2 Batting 1 WK
Sicelo 18 (Superb-Comp Bowl) 2 Bowling
Wikus 21 (Wonderful-Remarkable Bowl) 2 Bowling
Poke 21 (Remarkable-Quality Bowl) 1 Bowling
Hiller 21 (Remarkable-Remarkable Bat) 1 Batting
Hocking 21 (Remarkable-Quality Bat) 1 Batting

Wikus is probably on too many nets, so i could drop one of his, and maybe drop Hiller's net, as giving him primary level wouldnt help that much. With those two nets i could give Atkin 2 batting nets and then give him Beaumonts keeping net, and just train Beaumont as a bat and leave him as backup keeper.

Listed for 150k, not sure how much he'll fetch because he's not great skill-wise but there's a big premium for good stamina.

Does promotion and regulation work differently in FC. By the looks of it there is no playoff, so basically you have to finish in the Top 4 to stay up. If this is the case then i'm ****ed as the best I can finish in my league is 6th. Don't really want to drop back to Div 4 and league full of bots next season.
