Yeah, it's been great to play some really competitive games, we've been really closely matched I think? I'll look forward to some rematches in the future...

I really don't think so -- with the current wage structure and monies in (i.e. assuming FC isn't a huge money-maker), even the top teams are going to have room for a Remarkable or two. Especially Remarkable/Remarkable all-rounders, who are going to be very useful in taking some of the strain from teams' star players.

As a top player (e.g. your top two batsmen and bowlers), Remarkable is already redundant in Div II England, possibly even Div III.

As DeadBadger pointed out, I managed a stonking win on Friday, taking me clear of auto-relegation for the first time this season. I'll be basing my end-of-season strategy on getting a play-off.

Sunday's CW Cup match against Got_Spin went better than expected -- McCammon's defiant 96no from 100 balls was a superb innings, but he was badly let down by his teammates, who managed just 56 runs between them.

My three-day stint at the Great British Beer Festival was great -- it's one hell of an event to be involved with. Now I've got to get used to actually _paying_ for my beer again
