*Official* Australia v England post-Ashes ODI series

Haha, imagine if Moises did come in straight after taking some time off for personal reasons.

Still think Tye is a T20 bowler at the moment, rather than OD stuff. But see what happens. Think players having more overs to line him up and work him around before attacking him takes away the effect of his variations.

White would probably be the best choice for the short term tbh

Realistically he should have been a regular in the ODI team for the last 4-5 years

So White it is then. Mixed feelings about this one, on one hand he is in solid form and will likely do a more than reasonable job, but on the other hand, it does seem like more of a short term solution, band-aid thinking.

hey if the short term includes a world cup halfway through next year in conditions that he's made an ODI ton in then i'm all for it.

What the ****? What the actual ****? They're really digging to not pick Maxwell now. There's gotta be something personal that's gone down behind the scenes between him and one of Smith and Lehmann.

Maxwell isn't being picked because he's done jack all in ODI cricket lately and they want to give Stonis a good crack. And if Smith/Lehmann had shut their mouths in the first place we'd accept that. Instead it's boomeranged back on them and their reps are taking a hit instead of Maxwell's

The England pace bowling has been promisingly penetrative. I know nothing about the Drummoyne pitch but it looks a little greenish, so you'd think they might have done better.

Few of our really good quicks aren't suited to white ball bowling. Pattinson, Bird, Sayers and a few others are far worse with the white ball than they are with the red ball.

Yeah the Cam White selection is fine IMO, it's finally an attempt to address our glaring problem ever since the 2015 WC: a Clarke/Bailey replacement who can bat with Smith between overs 20 and 40.

The CA XI scorecard can't be right... Is that really Kade Harvey playing again and bombing the English bowlers?

Funnily enough Kade Harvey did actually make a ton batting from no. 7 against England on the 2002/03 tour playing for the CA XI (might have been called ACB XI or something)
