Smith races to 62. He's outscored Hughes 41-2 this morning...

Hughes selfishly just smacked a four. get off strike bud

So what is the plan here? I'd suggest batting, batting and more batting - give everyone a good hit. Give the bowlers a massive score to bowl at and to hell with winning the game!

nah, go for the win. last week the template imo: give everyone a decent hit and an opportunity to put up a good score, but go for the win.

Yeah, win for sure. Match pressure pushing for a win is where the batting lacks most, personally. They should kill a 2nd XI CC team with no guns.

Well they are nearing 400 now which would have to be declaration territory if they are going for the win, there is zero chance IMO of them scoring 500+ and hoping for an outright win by enforcing a follow on - now way in the world Clarke would risk giving his bowlers a long stint in the field unless they happen to bowl out Worcs for < 100

Probably bat til lunch or just after. Hughes getting bogged down a bit might be delaying the declaration.
