Where to now for Pakistani cricket?

If I were Chris Broad I would tell the ICC to go **** themselves if that is their attitude towards me.

Ijaz Butt.

Let us just look at him for a bit. Does he look like a man with a firm grip on reality?

Precambrian has a pathological hatred for people younger than him. Never mind that they're more mature, more intelligent, better informed, more emotionally stable and generally much nicer guys than him, their age means they're incapable of doing anything. Apparently.
No. Not at all. You are completely wrong there. I expressed my dissatisfaction at the quality of moderation some time back. And while I do respect them, I have right to voice my opinions about people including mods here, exactly like you just did a mental profile, however stupid, of me.

Ijaz Butt is such a prick. Get your head out of yer ass for a second and realize that it was due to your organizations lapses in security that the players were in danger in the first place instead of trying to divert all attention to Chris Broad's justified comments. Honestly, he and the minister in question should be resigning at the very least. Just goes to show how useless the ****wits are that the people have put into office. Part of me feels we're getting what we deserve for making a felon our president.

LAtest in the News :-

"But I must say that I was hurt by Chris Broad's appalling allegations against Pakistan as well as our cricket team after the incident. He (Broad) must apologise for those comments"

World Cup winning coach of Pakistan, Mr. Intikhab Alam, took his head out of the sand and made the above statement and then put it back in the sand.

Pakistan Observer Writes, Again with its head firmly in the sand :-

"Mumbai carnage of November 16 and Lahore terror-attack on Sri Lanka’s cricket team on March 3 cannot be seen in isolation as both the tragic events are part of the same Indian designs to sabotage the South Asian peace."

The criticism of Broad in the media has been an absolute disagrace. Even if Broad did say something out of line (which I personally don't believe he did) it'd be completely understandable given what he had to go through. It makes me wonder if these people giving quotes now are actually aware that Broad was on the bus - so deluded are the comments. Anyone so closely involved is going to react in such a way, if not even more harshly than Broad did.

Broad was an easy target, because he's someone who people in certain countries seem to think he has a vendetta against them. Which is rubbish, of course.

And yes, I think the whole thing has been a disgrace. By the media, but even moreso by the PCB and some members of the ICC. The ICC will be very lucky if they haven't permanently lost a match referee and a couple of umpires over this. Because if I was Broad, I think I'd tell them to stick their job.

That's just ****ing insane. Absolutely pathologically nuts.

"In the post-Mumbai mayhem, Pakistan had repeatedly offered its full cooperation through joint investigation and sharing of information, but India rejected flattery."

Rejected flattery? WTF is he talking about? Does he mean flatly?

I do hope the people of Pakistan wake up. Their press and government are psychotic bastards.

Does anyone else not get tired of the constant India/Pakistan crapfest here? Poster A will dig up a random press/tv statement and proclaim “look, this is how all the people of Pakistan must think, how moronic they must be”. Poster B will then come up and say “I can dig up similar moronic statements from India blah blah blah”. And then we go in circles. I know that after vigorously debating the India/Pakistan dynamic, I’m certainly tired of it now. Oh well, I guess those that aren’t will enthusiastically continue the bash-fest.

Pretty easy to be smug about it when it doesn't affect you.

What disturbs me is that the outsiders put India and Pak on the same moral ground and think they're both equally culpable in the unrest, when it's clear to anyone with just a bit of study that one party is clearly the perpetrator.

Nobody put Germany and Japan on the same level as Britain and the US in WWII. Likewise with Iraq and Kuwait. But when it comes to India and Pak, because of the steady stream of lies and misinformation from Pakistan, both countries are somehow thought of as bickering siblings equally to blame for the problems in South Asia.

Nah i think most of us do actually have opinions on the issue as opposed to smugly assuming they're both the same. It's just that we haven't any great wish to discuss them in detail on a cricket forum.
