dude you know what the problem is, if Inzi comes at #3 or 4 or even if he opens and fails..the same pople who were asking him to do so will be the first to say why did he do that....

thats how we pakistanis are

I think the Number 3-4-5-6 are all set...we should not mess up what we got right just to fix what weve got wrong.

Secondly it hink our opening wont be as big of a prob in WI as Imran hafiz and kamran are all talented and they will perform better than what they did in SA

Inzi is not an opner, he has been playing in the middle order all his life...what if it doesnt work? Is a world cup the place to try out these things?

The only other option i see is Ask younis to open that way the whole order will get shifted up one place, and inzi will come at 4

44.31 is a superb ODI average.

Also he hasn't batted at three for a couple years now, and considering hes the only thing we've got going for our batting right now I wouldn't really want to mess with his place in the order at this stage.
Disagree. Low-mid-40s in a very good average. "Superb" is something reserved for a notch above. "Superb" (let alone phenomenal) is about as good an adjective as you can use to describe a cricketer. It gets better than 44.31, especially when it's 55.22.

We have two players very capable of a rescue mission in both Yousuf and Inzi. However, at 4 and 5 respectively, they both come in too late after a considerable amount of damage is done. Personally, I feel that in ODIs one of your two best batsmen should come in at 1-3, and another 4-6. None of our best batsmen are coming in at 1-3, and thats where we're getting hammered. I would like to see Inzi swap places in the lineup with Younis and bat at number 3 to solve this problem. Yousuf and Younis at 4 and 5 are capable enough to solve problems later in an innings should they occur, but that isn't so much our problem right now as much as the fact that we get off to horrid starts.
I've been advocating Yousuf at 3 for a while now, given his superb record there. Younis Khan has done nothing to state that he's a batsman worthy of perhaps the most important spot in an ODI batting lineup, so I'd agree with him batting at 5 if he plays. I'd have picked Hameed ahead of him in a heartbeat though.

Yousuf at 3 and Inzi at 4, IMO.

Yes, ideally opening is a role reserved for specialists. However, the skills required to open are not so foreign to middle order bats as some would suggest. Moving down from 3 to 5 is as big a difference as opening to one down, IMO.
Moving from opening batsman to number 3 is actually a huge move, unless your openers are sufficiently rubbish. In which case one would question how rubbish a player would have to be to be moved to number 3 to accommodate such a rubbish opener...

But I digress...

An opener is accustomed to being in the action from the start. Moving to number could be a very alien position, even if the wait is only 10-15 overs.

There are just three specialist batsmen in the side and Yonis is one of them so he's obviously going to play.Younis Khan comming at number five would be of no use to the team,he can contribute better at one down slot but not at number five.

Younis should bat at one down, Yousuf at four and Inzi at five.
