New Signing for Free State

Hay Signs For South African Franchise

Free State Eagles are delighted to announce the signing of young Greg Hay as one of their batsman for the upcoming World Club Cricket season. The 22 year old New Zealand has had a superb start to his career with Central Districts, averaging over 45 in First Class Cricket and 65 in List A Cricket. These numbers were very influential in the Eagles rush to get the players signature. Club Manager Zac Ritchie said "Greg is a great talent. Anyone who can score runs at his rate on New Zealand pitches will be a good acquisition for our club. We feel that he has the potential to develop into a very good batsman for the Eagles, and we wish him all the best for the season"

Alright before i do season previews i just want to see what managers goals are for this season. Are they looking for promotion, maintaining their spot in the division or just a rebuilding year.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Would be happy with a top 3 finish in OD. I think we have a strong side, continuing on from last season. Dawn will be the lynchpin at number 3 while Dias will be taking the bulk of the bowling responsibilities.

Belle and Anup Dave are two exciting genuine all-rounders which will decide the season for us IMO.

We will be looking to push for promotion this season and finish in the Top 3. We have a lot of depth in batting this season, we could realistic bat to 11 in some matches with 5 all rounders to select from. The key for us this season will be our batting line up clicking, bowling attack hasn't been as strong as i like it to be. But we do have a couple good bowlers, who will hopefully hold their own in D3.
