As a result of this, a few kids I knew growing up has nicknames of “Glenn”, “Turner”, and “Glenn Turner”

Huh I did not know before now but Zaheer’s full name is actually Syed Zaheer Abbas Kirmani. Would’ve been cool to have 2 Syed Kirmanis playing for India and Pakistan at the same time.

Abbas I think for his upsides despite GT having the opener point of difference aspect. Not as though GT is particularly accomplished against tough pace in tests either.
