He just turned 30 and already has 336. Do you think he can do it?
336 wickets in 71 games. So about another 35 games for him if he keeps up that WPM. So far this decade in 5.5 years SA has played 37 tests, of which Rabada has played 30. So he probably needs to make it to 36 or so to make it. Pollock, Steyn and Donald retired at 35, 36, and 37 respectively. Its definitely possible if he can stay healthy.

Actually Cummins is more likely to get 400 than KG is to 500...you're right. Bumrah is really dependent on his fitness. It might be a cakewalk, or a career ending injury. Nothing in between

I don't think Cummins is going anywhere anytime soon, and due to the unjust capitalistic nature of the world, he'll get way more games than Rabada and he's way fitter than Bumrah.

Would help if they had a Test scheduled at home in the next year…
Supposedly down to their hosting of the World Cup and work required on stadia.

Although to me feels like an excuse, when it's a greed thing from certain nations. Then South Africa lose money on hosting tests against non big 3 opponents.

Feels like next year would have been a perfect time for England to tour, seeing as last time we toured was in 2019/20.

As far as excuses go, thats one of the most reasonable I’ve heard

If the funding model wasn't just to make BCCI,ECB and CA richer they'd have home tests before September 2026.

No doubt the SA20 will magically go ahead in January too. As the IPL control that league.

Alas it is and South Africans don't get to witness their WTC winning side at home in action for well over a year. That's a sad thing IMO.

I can't say I can count on all the times teams have had stadium work while they hosted test matches.

But we saw Pakistan host England in tests in October despite having the Champions Trophy in February.

Seeing the reasons why it's all about money basically. As it always is. Greed and T20 killing test cricket.

I'm unsure we will see another 500 bowler. You basically need a 20yo English bowler with ATG potential.
