Who's your pick for a Northern XI vs Southern XI??

MrPerko

School Boy/Girl Captain
Ok - here's a test for every cricket fan...

If (by some complete miracle) the ICC organised a test match between a Northern Hemisphere XI versus a Southern Hemisphere XI who would make your cut? (a question bound to generate some disagreements...) So basically, it's Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and Zimbabwe Vs. England, the four asians (SL, Ind., Pak., Ban.) and the West Indies.

Here's my teams (Assuming 6 batters, wicketkeeper, 1 spinner and 3 pace):

Northern XI

Trescothick
Dravid (vc)
Lara
Tendulkar (c)
Jayawardene
Inzamam-ul-Haq
Sangakkara (w)
Caddick
Younis (o1)
Muralitharan
Gough (o2)
12th - Thorpe or Vaas

Southern XI

Hayden
Gibbs
Langer
Kallis
A Flower
Martyn
Gilchrist (w)
Pollock (c) (o2)
Cairns
Warne (vc)
McGrath (o1)
12th - Gillespie

Obviously some players arn't in their regular batting positions, but were too good to leave out...

Gary Kirsten is the most boring player in world cricket.

I can remember him batting 8 hours for 120* or something on an incredibly flat track at Old Trafford in 98. Nearly put me off cricket for life...

Imagine him and Atherton opening :P
