Not a lot in common between the two and it's always weird comparing an opener to a middle order player.

I'm relatively confident Warner is the better T20 player, and Taylor the better ODI. In Tests? Ehh. Taylor's class early in his career, and his ability to rough it out for the good of the team in the latter half of his career makes him a very good anchor for the middle order. Warner on the otherhand can and did blast quick runs that could immediately put the opposition on the back foot.


Taylor by a mile for reasons. But also, even steven if I have more than one eye open

Warner has excellent records in Aus and South Africa... His record in England and India is criminal

Taylor probs a better bloke and was obviously captain material.

It's very close on Tests alone IMO but given you've included ODIs it has be Taylor given he was so much better there.
