Similar players. I know it's been done before, but let's do it this time without the influence of Narayana's endless multis.

Viv. Better peak. Better against ATG bowling. Didn't have so much home pitch inflation.

Smith has a greater desire for runs though but I believe Viv had more impact. Smith declining during a time when bowling standards are higher doesn't help his case.

List out the flaws for the following players
1. Hutton
2. Sobers
3. Viv
4. Sachin
5. Smith
1 Unusually low SR.
2. Batted too low in the order compared to the rest
3. Relatively less impressive post peak, not great century conversion
4. Lack of mega series
5. Relatively declined at the same time as bowling globally improved

Can't hook the ball due to his hand condition after the war. Had to rely on cuts and guiding the ball to the third man.

2. Sobers
suspect against Trueman's cutters. Trueman had people thinking Kanhai was the better bat until 1966.

Reckless, did not maximise output. Failed in easy serieses where he should've scored heaps like 1983-84 India and 1977 Pakistan and 1974-75 Pakistan.

4. Sachin
Weakness against a ball pitched a bit off to the off stump but then deviates in, Muttiah Muralitharan, James Anderson and Hansie Cronje all came to this conclusion.

balls that stays low mainly, mainly an off cutters that stays low, after peak he has shown an issue with quality spin.

Fascinating analysis all around. Well done.
