Welcome to the State Shield Cricket Sim and thanks for being a part of the game!
This Sim is based on the current New Zealand State Shield Competition and is based on a similar format to the World Club Cricket Sim.
The teams that are involved in the competition are:
Northern Districts—Managed by Eyes_Only
Auckland—Managed by Lord_Of_Darkness
Otago----Managed by Sunil Havascar
Canterbury---Managed by Tamara
Wellington---Managed by Rich2001
Central Districts—Managed by Ryan_t2002
*More teams maybe added at a later time.
The competition is made up of 10 rounds with each team playing twice. There will also be opportunities for the teams to participate in friendly matches during the season.
Each team manager is to select eleven players for each match. Team managers are encouraged to pick the teams using players from their squads and experiment with the positions in their teams.
*SO WHAT’S THE PURPOSE OF THIS SIM??
The main purpose of this sim is to have fun and enjoy yourself! You get to put yourself in the position of being the manager/coach of your favourite team and defeat your opposition. You have the power to pick whatever team you like!
*WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGET TO PUT MY TEAM IN?
Teams are to be posted on the forum board by Thursday 12am (New Zealand time), which is 12pm (England time) and 10pm (Australian time).
If you forget to submit your team 3 times, you will not only forfeit the three games you missed but you will also be sacked as the manager of your team. This is to ensure that only committed people take part in the sim.
*CAN MY PLAYERS BE INJURED?
The simple answer to that question is yes they can. As manager, you will be made aware which players have been injured and how long they will be injured for.
If this happens to a player in your team, all you have to do is select another player to replace them before submitting your team for the next match.
