slowest bowlers in nz right now (the medium pace thread)

it's tough being slow in nz now. the decks are flat, batsmen love it gentle, the fans don't like you and the establishment is self conscious about your very existence. the power tried to kill them off, but a hardy few still survive.

cdg the current standout superstar in this department, being a high quality 5th bowler with a career best of rolling the former #1 test side in the world on debut.

tim southee auditions for this role on a regular basis (melbourne 2020 the most recent example), but he ruins his chances by speeding up sometimes.

matt mcewan might have done enough to leapfrog matt henry into 6th in the seam bowling pecking order. love this guys work. he is the partner in crime to lockie ferguson and kyle jamieson, thundering in with heavy footfalls and broad shoulders to release the ball and send it down gently in the corridor of uncertainty. when the batsman duly obliges to nick it, mcewan celebrates like a man learning from wagner's knee.

Moss

International Vice-Captain
Jacob Duffy? Doesn't look much faster than CdG (based on YT uploads) but has built up some serious List A numbers. Might just enter the frame when Southee gets tired of being undroppable and living off that 7-33.

On that note, this was one of NZ's ATG ODI wins abroad - bowling the West Indies out with Larsen, Vaughan, Astle, Patel, Harris and um Cairns as sixth bowler. For guys who are regular punchlines they sure could do a job. And look at that MoM section:
