Yeah one is an opener and great openers are so much harder to find.

That's not to denigrate the value of any great batsman though. Chanderpaul was a godsend, as Windies very much know atm.

Chanderpaul played for a much worse team, and also has a longevity edge ( the latter not as important as the former ).

It's not so much I don't rate Graeme Smith, it's I rate Chanderpaul.
