yeah but it's better than having basically nothing on secondary IE Tendulkar.
Tendulkar is arguably the best after Bradman and Wasim struggles to make the top ten pacers and has quite a few gaps in his record. You can't overcome those gaps with being a useful bat for me.

Maybe you could list what your criteria are though where you based your assessments.

Here is mine, somewhat in order:
- Overall record free of major gaps or flaws against major teams
- Strong away record unless home conditions are tough, then both are as important
- Longevity of worldclass performances
- Aggressive and adaptable batting style free of serious technical issues and adaptable bowling skills
- God-mode series and innings
- X factor stuff like Tendulkar teen years and Hobbs late years

- ATG serieses as the magnum opus
- High output minus minnows, RPI, averages, rate of hundreds kind of thing.
- No major technical flaws
- Consistent record accross conditions
- Great against the best bowlers you're presented with

Is that in order?

I wouldn’t say Tendulkar has basically nothing. In most ATG teams he’d arguably be the part timer you’d chuck the ball to when nothing was working. (not mine but mine’s not necessarily representative) That’s definitely something.
