Third b2b Boxing day test win loading... Centurion the SA fortress for Asian sides.
We've never won in Centurion though.

But then again past records don,t really matter.

This is prolly the strongest Indian side ever and the weakest SA side since readmission.

All I'm going to say to India is, don't be over confident and don't under estimate the Proteas!!

Would be a bowling shootout this series.

Bumrah, Shami, Ishant, Siraj vs Rabada, Ngidi, Oliver , Mulder(?)

Wouldn’t KAbott slot right back in again instead of Olivier? Would pick Harmer over Maharaj too.

5 years ago I would have been excited and nervous, at best expecting a draw. But now we should win this.

Hopefully we don't drop a test. SA bowling looked great in WI with Rabada back in form but they lack someone like Root to put us under pressure with the bat. We should have won in 2018 if not for AB.

India needs to fix their middle order.. Gill will love SA conditions with his high backlift & stronger backfoot game. He is Tailor made for SA & Aus conditions.

Possibly. Definitely the strongest Indian bowling attack. Batting, especially outside Asia, leaves a lot to be desired. Now if you married the current bowling attack with the batting from say, a few years ago, that team would be incredible. Ex:

Sehwag
Gambhir
Dravid
Sachin
Laxman
Ganguly *
Dhoni+
Ashwin
Siraj
Sami
Bumrah

**At home you drop a batsman and include Jadeja

Make no mistake though, this Indian team is great. Well done.

naah, i think batting is ok. just been a tough time for batting in general.

compounded further for india because in the last two years they have been either playing on tough pitches and/or great bowling attacks.

2022 onwards lots of easier series so should start seeing the 500-600 odd again.

Same batsmen struggled at home vs England as well & young guns like Sundar & Pant bailed them out.
I'd like to see both Gill (superior backfoot player) & Sundar on those SA tracks. Gill especially might fail everywhere in the world but would be massive success in Aus & SA coz of the nature of his batting & technique.

Rahane & Pujara are well past it.
