We all know Sachin is the better overall player but who is the better player of fast bowling? count anything from Maurice Tate speed to Frank Tyson speed.

Do you not count players like Broad, McGrath and Asif when commenting on pace?
No I am talking speed pace.

If I looking at overall pace including lateral movement as you mentioned in the OP, then Tendulkar goes over Ponting. ABD won't be rated as high.

If it's overall pace here, why did you vote for Ponting over SRT??

Tendulkar was a bit better than ponting against everything
Agree with the sentiment. Disagree in absolute terms.

Ponting was a better player of pure bounce. And a better bully. Ponting had bouncy AUS pitches at home, mostly played against crap bowlers, and played for an ATG side, so both of these were seriously useful.

But if you don't want to get that specific, Sachin was better against everything than everyone, with the exception of a couple of players against spin.
