To start with I hope ICC overturns its decision and makes the next world cup atleast a 12 nation affair.

Here in this tournament I would like the "real" terms to progress:- Botswana, Japan and Nigeria. Kuwait, Norway & Germany would be full of expats or South Asian citizens. But most likely Botswana and Kuwait will go through

Exactly my thoughts.

Safe bet to back the home nation. I went the other African team too.

I'd really like to see Japan and Germany do well though...

Is there a significant Asian-origin minority in Norway? I take it the team is largely expats?
Yup. The captain is Australian for some reason, maybe to sledge the opponents.

There's around 40,000 people with Pakistani origins in Norway, plus a few Indians and Tamils. I don't know about the citizenship status of the team (being somewhat shy and with little talent for cricket I've stayed away from actually playing), but the media stories suggest they're largely permanently settled and respond somewhat coherently to queries in Norwegian.

The Tamils are more spread out around the country, meaning they're not as involved in cricket, which is based around the few fields there are available in Oslo and Drammen - and it may be hard to feel welcome at a club where the working language is Urdu.

Quite a sizeable of them arrived before 1976, as Norway had 'Gastarbeiter' laws similar to Germany and Sweden.

So here are the participants for Predi-Game currently:

1) Laksh = 2 runs
1) Vimes = 2 runs
1) Juro = 2 runs

To make it more interesting: The highest run scorer in a single tournament so far:

Jashan & Juro = 24 runs (WCL DIV 3, 2011).

Anymore participants?
