That's right the West Indies v India first test is going to be coming soon. As long as we hold up a bit against the spin I think we're in with a shot. The team will be:
D Ganga
C Gayle
B Lara
R Sarwan (C)
S Chanderpaul
J Adams
R Jacobs (WK)
O Banks
K Jeremy (1)
D Ramnarine
C Collymore (2)
Going in with two spinners is a must IMO, but my pace attack will be weakened. Two inexperienced but talented youngsters will have to do all the pace work while Banks and Ramnarine will do the spinning. Gayle and Sarwan might chip in should they be needed. Results COMING SOON

Really happy with the way we bowled except Omari Banks. Our batting was shocking though. We had far too many people making starts and noone making a big score. If we are oging to win we have to have one batsman making a good score. If I was to give Man of the Match to a West Indan it would have been Ramnarine. He bowled extremely well along with Jeremy and Collymore. None of the batsman are out of form becasue they all made scores. But we just need someone to put his hand up.

I could've predicted that. I would never play Omari Banks as a specialist spinner (ie a 4th bowler) he's a decent 5th bowler though. Also, I wouldn't have bowled him after he got to 0/100, I would've used Sarwan around the wicket at middle stump with a legside field and Chris Gayle with a spread field at off' to fill in the overs of spin. But that's just me.Cloete said:

these stories are mad to read!! keep it up. dont criticise Cloete though dudes!! seriously ive played with west indies and at the beginning... no good. its so hard... tendulkar and srinath just kill ya!! put lara as captain though maybe... perhaps in 2nd test go for all out experience or all out youth i dunno. something different. spinners genrally good in india, just keep it up!!
