Anyway Brook looks to have the most talent. I don't know if Smith has more wicketkeeping talent he hasn't fully shown, but if so it would be him.

still genuinely believe that since Lara, Pietersens ceiling (as in being able to play innings i don't think anyone else could) is higher than any other batsman that has played. maybe Michael Clarke being the other non fashionable call.

but talent is more than just one off events and because of that its Joe Root by a long long way.

Don't overthink it. Sometimes the more talented player has the better career. Brook and Stokes comes close.

I have rarely seen a batsman playing so many great knocks as KP. He was not consistent but played lots of fantastic knocks.

I don't know how to judge batsman with bowler, but Flintoff was right up there.
