For an average test team, ATG bowlers are more useful so it has to be Glen McGrath and Shane Warne

If I am building a side, I think having a champion bat and bowler might be slightly more beneficial than two ATG bowlers.

Kallis = 16th Greatest Batsman + ATG slip + decent bowler + never captain

Viv = 5th Greatest Batsman + ATG slip + Lousy bowler + competent leader

Sachin = 3rd Greatest Batsman + Average slip + Lousy bowler + trash leader

With an average batting lineup tho. Formidable but I think they may end up losing more games than we think. Think the 2Ws in the first half of the 90s.

However Warne as captain certainly may take them over the line

I think say though, a key difference there is the variety of wider conditions they would achieve success in. Think of say, Hadlee’s NZ except they also have a Warne/Murali. More advantageous than say, two pacers would be to Viv/Marshall.

Yes that's possible. Also possible that a Viv Marshall combo firing at the same time ensures victory better with a more balanced team. Hard to say for sure for me.
