Very, Very similar bowlers. both tormented by Bradman and average much better when not bowling to him, Tate around 22 and Bedser 21, Bedser is the superior bowler but who is the overall better player considering Tate was no hack with the bat either. Both were considered (and are considered) the Barnes of the poor man.
