Hayden scored more, at a better average, and all for the game of cricket, instead of himself. Also didn't put me to sleep.

The West Indian batsmen of the 70s and 80s were a joy to watch.

Sadly this was often against England bowlers who got regularly tanked.

Gordon was another one of those players who played well past his expiry date. Nevertheless he's in the tier of openers (imo) just below the big 4. Hayden is probably there as well but I'd put Matthew ever so slightly below Cuthbert.

Greenidge’s career overlapped with Gavaskar and if Gavaskar was considered better, it was t by much

Hayden’s career overlapped with Sehwag and it was even odds who was considered better

That says it all
