He has the highest IPL highs, but too many long dry fruitless spells as well; either not scoring at all, or scoring runs in rate that hardly matters. ABD and Warner are the two best IPL bats imo.
I would include Raina also but yeah

I will place Raina below these 3, Gayle, Dhoni and Pollard. Buttler and Rahul might end ahead as well. Was Great for a few years but mediocre for more; and just never gave that invincible aura, nor scored hungrily like these 3 in his peak. And his problem against bounce was always very palpable.

In the IPL specifically I disagree. Was CSK's batsmen year in year out on very bowling friendly tracks which turned quite a lot and had low bounce. His stats don't appear as good as the others, but his innings of the type 55(37) was the reason CSK was doing as well as they did

Ahh, when he was even leading CSk, I hardly got the feeling the batting was really dependent on him. Dhoni just felt more important when he didn't bat behind Jadeja. Also Hussey, Watson, du Plessis etc overshadowed him a little too often for my likings. CSK pitches were relatively harder to bat on, but those turning tracks really were Raina's speciallity. His problem against bounce was really exploitable in any pitch with a sound bounce. Overall, he just never reached the peaks of VK, ABD, Gayle or Warner; neither had the lower order game changing impact of Dhoni or Pollard.

Let's agree to disagree then
