Joe Root has an opportunity to become the first England Batsman to score 7000 runs in ODI cricket. Surprising no one from England has done it.

Even Bangladesh has had three batsmen with 7500+ runs and one of them has 8357 runs. Andy Flower scored 6700 runs and he retired in 2002.

Not Terrible
In ICC tournaments

Williamson 1712 @ 59.03 - SR 83.59
Root 1690 @ 49.70 - SR 90.76

Genuinely think that it is very close. Very similar overall records but Williamson has more not outs (mostly from 7 victories where he was there at the end) and Root is more aggressive.

Both probably underrated as ODI ATGs.
