can you stop posting the same image in so many threads?
I think DrWolverine simply has a special place in his heart for the incomparable Fred Goodall.

Fred was much-maligned but was, in fact, an award-winning umpire:

from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Goodall:

Fred Goodall was a great umpire.JPG

He was reported to have died back in 2021 but reports of his death were greatly exaggerated:

from https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/crick...e-life-was-dogged-by-one-controversial-moment:

Fred still very much alive and kicking.JPG

Fred was born quite early in the year (9 January 1938) so he was probably 165 years old in that photo. I attribute Fred's great longevity to getting barged by Colin Croft because as Nietzsche said, "What does not kill me makes me stronger".

Hobbs also had great longevity so pronounced that it almost seemed as if he could make time stand still.
