...I can play the NZ domestic season in Cricket 2004?
Yeah it's certainly possible. I started work on an NZ domestic patch but gave up to due to lack of time on my part and interest on other peoples.
I can certainly describe the process you would need to go through to make it for you:
Players - find which players are not in the game and need to be added. Make them into player .dat files and add them to a clean roster.
Kits - required for all teams except ND and Canty (already made)
Logos - Needed for all teams

If you hex edit a unencoded exe you can also make this into a non-replacing patch and run it simply by access to a different exe. I made a patch that added Scotland to the game in this way and also an Asia Cup one with Hong Kong and UAE added.
I've attached one of the kits made just to show you that we did start working on it!

Cool. Except I'm really inept at coding, damnit. But I'll try something. It's not important that I play the NZ Domestic but I've played the 2 already and thought it'd be kinda neat...

Hours later, he was shutdown.

I`ve seriously thought about the same thing Ben (?), but I suck at all that code stuff. Big ups to you if you can do it. :)

I'd be happy to do the coding for you if you made the kits/logos and players. That can be done easily with the C2k4 player editor and photoshop.

Would you be able to do it and use other uniforms as placeholders which would just be overwritten later when the appropriate files are added? Or if you have to make new files, a generic one? Because I don't have the time now but later on I might and it'd be easier just to drop the files in later then do a whole deadline thing. Aaah I confused myself.

I'm a little rusty on this cos I haven't done any C2k4 patching for a while but the easiest thing would be to use Graphic Importer v3 to overwrite the Aussie domestic kits (I'll see how many have been made) and then to use Player Editor to create the new players (you can do that at any speed you like). Lineup editor to import the players into the aussie state teams and photoshop to make the logos (which would be labelled l_canty.tga b_otago.tga etc
In terms of simply playing and not being too worried about uniforms you need to get the squad lists and check which players are in the game and which will need making. Then use the current bat pack roster (made by me) as it has space for over 1000 new players to be added.
I have the squad lists from last season with a note of which players need making but I don't have them for the 2005 season so you will have to do that.
Good luck.
If you want more help e-mail me your MSN. My e-mail is admin @ cricket2004.co.uk without the spaces.

I have made odi kits for Otago, Auckland and Central Districts but they are basic. I have also added players from the 2004 season. I have replaced Queensland, NSW and South Australia and am going to replace a couple other teams with the existing Northern Districts and Cantebury sides. It hasnt turned out very well at all for some reason all the bowlers turn out real crud and the batsman werent to flash. The uniforms also need working on

What is the problem with the player abilities and do you want me to edit the team names and logos for you?

You need to give me a list of who replaces who then so I can do it for you. Worth remembering that you can't use more charactors than the names you are replacing.

Central Districts - South Australia (Just call it Central Stags)
Auckland - Queensland (Auckland)
Wellington - Tasmania (Firebird) woops should have thought about this first lol
Otago - New South Wales (Otago Volts)
Canterbury - Victoria (Wizards)
Northern Districts - Western Australia (Northern Knights)

Thanks that would b gr8. Its a bit of a mess but it will do

Why not replace New South Wales with Northern Districts? New South Wales has 15 (including the spaces) letters so N Districts (11) could fit and Auckland would easily fit into Victoria's 8 letters.
How about..

N Districts (11) > New South Wales (13) (do spaces count?)
Auckland (8) > Victoria (8)
Otago (5) > Tasmania (8)
Canterbury(10) > Queensland (10)
Wellington (10) > South Australia (15)
C Districts (11) > Western Australia (17)

or even Central Districts (17) into Western Australia (17)...

Also, if you want to attack the image files for the uniforms I could try working with them to see if I can make them? Or something..

Spaces do count so I'll do what you've posted above.
The kits Eric made are here but the logos need some size adjustments. They're only templates really.

How about doing the names the way NZTailender said. Sorry if this would annoy you. I finished all my uniforms and squads and they seem to be working well. I still need to make uniform adjustments.

I was going to do them the way he had suggested.
You'll need to do logos as well. 32-bit targas. Use alpha layers to make the background transparant.

Do you have any good references? Are they suppose to be bigger or smaller?
