Like seriously, I literally can't think of a single reason behind Gordon and Inzi being far apart. Opening is tough, especially in the 80s, but Gordon never played the best team and was mid away against the two best he faced (though Great in NZ the next best and England). He doesn't deserve much Era points imho. And then Inzi averages 4 runs more. I still rate him ahead, but saying they aren't close is plain Wrong.

Haynes vs Inzi is very close though

Statistically the very easy batting era actually started in 2003 imo. 2001 and 2002 were not higher scoring then plenty of years in the 80s and 90s.

Inzi averaged 48.98 from 1992 - 2002.
