ICC 2006 Online Issue/Bug

Oli Norwell

School Boy/Girl Cricketer
Was just playing an online game, a 4-day county game Surrey v Hampshire. Played against my brother in the same room, so when this happened we were able to discuss how to get round it.

Problem occured towards end of day 2 when my opponent was offered the light (he was batting), problem is I was also offered the light as the bowling team (this isn't right is it? the dialog refered to 'my' batsmen, when in fact I'm bowling).

Initially I declined it. Then a few overs later it was offered again, I accepted. On my PC the game went to the end of day scorecard, on my oppenents PC it didn't give him any options other than declare.

When I returned to the match screen for the start of the next day it said waiting for opponent, of course I couldn't move on because my opponent was still stuck on the previous day.

Anyone know if this is gonna be fixed? The way around it was for him to declare, which didn't go down to well at all!

Then the game cut out about 50 overs later, due to some problem, luckily I didn't get a disconnect.

Fairly enjoyable experience, but definitely buggy!
