I think he was someone who could move the ball early, bowl swingers and back breaks, and then revert to spinner when the ball gets old, a bit like Sobers tho obviously infinitely higher in quality. I've him ahead of Warne/Murali/O Reilly in bowlers ranking.

In ESPN profile he is classified as someone who bowled Right arm fast Medium and Right arm Medium. Wikipedia includes Right arm Leg spin.
Guess he really didn't need the Googly...
